Cartridge Replacement
Finding and fitting the right cartridge, including for discontinued and imported fixtures.
What you’re dealing with
You have been told the fixture is obsolete and needs replacing, or a shop has handed you a cartridge that does not fit.
Cartridges are consumable parts. The hard bit is not fitting one — it is working out exactly which one a fifteen-year-old imported valve takes.
What the work may involve
- Identifying the fixture from the body casting, splines and handle broach
- Sourcing brand-specific cartridges rather than universal substitutes
- Extracting seized cartridges without damaging the valve body
- Cleaning and lubricating the bore before the new part goes in
- Re-indexing the handle and resetting the temperature stop
Every job is different. This is what these jobs usually include, not a fixed scope — we will tell you what yours needs once we have seen it.
